All-time classic: Pirates vs. Global Warming

Everyone’s seen this graph. I thought I’d start out light:

As pirates decrease, global temperature increases. Lesson: stop blaming my Escalade.

What do you think? Coincidence or not?

You need to show the recent increase in pirate activity (Somalia) and the recent cooling of global average temperature.
